How is an application matched to the D&B database?

When you configure your credit application, you can determine if you want your applicants to select the D&B company record match as part of the application process. Otherwise, you will be able to match the application after it is submitted.

In the matching process, D&B information is automatically pulled on businesses if a clear match is found. Otherwise, you or your applicant (if you have enabled the matching feature) can select the appropriate business from a generated list.

If a company match is not found and you have access to the D&B SBRI Unmatched database or other credit bureaus, you can search for a possible match. This feature is only available when you match the application after it is submitted. [Note: access to SBRI and/or other credit bureaus has to be set up by your DNBi administrator.]
