How are decision rules triggered?

Decision rules are triggered as follows:

First, the AND conditions of the rule are evaluated (e.g., SIC Code = 5812 AND Application Score > 8). If ALL of the AND conditions are true, then the OR conditions of the rule are evaluated next. Otherwise, the rule outcome (Approved, Declined, or Decision Pending) is not triggered, and the next decision rule, if any, is evaluated.

Second, the OR conditions of the rule are evaluated (e.g., PAYDEX® > 80 OR CCS Percentile > 87). If ANY of the OR conditions are true, then the OVERRIDE conditions of the rule are evaluated next. Otherwise, the rule outcome (Approved, Declined, or Decision Pending) is not triggered, and the next decision rule, if any, is evaluated.

Third, the OVERRIDE conditions of the rule are evaluated (e.g., Bankruptcy OR Judgment). If ANY of the OVERRIDE conditions are true, then the rule outcome (Approved, Declined, or Decision Pending) is not triggered, and the next decision rule, if any, is evaluated. Otherwise, the rule outcome (Approved, Declined, or Decision Pending) is triggered.
