My file won't import. What's wrong with it?

If your file doesn’t import successfully, there’s most likely a formatting problem with some fields in the file. If the status of your import is “Errored” or “Completed With Errors”, click to view the error details. Then inspect your file, make any formatting corrections, and try importing the file again. Refer to “What account data can I import into DNBi?” for specific field formats and size limits.

Another possibility is that your file is not properly delineated. Refer to “How do I create an account import file? for specific rules that your import file must follow.

If you still can’t solve the problem, make sure to verify that your field mapping is correct. For example, you might have incorrectly mapped a text field to a numeric field. If you’ve mapped a file incorrectly, upload the file again, re-map it, and save the new field mapping.
