What is DNBi?

DNBi is an interactive, customizable Web application that provides you with the most complete and up-to-date DUNSRight™ information available, as well as comprehensive monitoring and portfolio analysis. DNBi empowers you to make more informed, efficient, and insightful credit decisions by providing online access to the most complete and up-to-date information on over 120 million companies in the D&B global database.

DNBi offers five optional add-on services: DNBi Decision Maker, DNBi Account Manager, Fraud Risk Score and SBRI.

(1) DNBi Decision Maker is a web-based, automated credit decisioning and workflow solution. It provides immediate, automated credit decisions and credit limits to credit professionals and sales team members based on your credit policy.

(2) DNBi Account Manager is an automated account management solution that reduces credit risk by identifying changes in account risk, recommending actions based on your credit policy, and focusing the credit professional’s attention on accounts that need it the most.

(3) Trade Groups for DNBi, provided by Smyth supplements the extensive information provided by DNBi with specific payment experiences from the trade groups you join. Trade groups are forums that allow credit professionals to share and compare information about the payment history of their mutual customers. By participating in trade groups, you gain the ability to view and share payment information with your industry peers in a safe and monitored online environment.

(4) Fraud Risk Score is an early warning commercial fraud risk screening system. It is a predictive score designed to help credit issuers easily assess fraud risk at the point of origination or new application. The score detects and analyzes matched credit application data to behaviors and characteristics of previously confirmed frauds.

(5) SBRI is a data repository that collects and consolidates lending performance data from financial institutions on small businesses across the loan, credit card and leasing industries. SBRI provides participating businesses with revealing, highly predictive account lending performance data about existing and prospective small business customers – helping to answer questions about a customer’s credit and payment history, types of existing credit relationships and their outstanding debt.
