We use a number of methods to verify the information we receive from other sources. In addition to our telecenters, which interview business principals to verify and enhance information from other sources, we also monitor business registrations.
Business registrations provide:
- Over 52 million business registrations from 50 state government registries to verify registered name and ownership to identify potential frauds, verify existence of a registered business, and confirm key information such as a company’s organizational structure, date and state of incorporation (or organization).
- Assistance in fraud investigation through review of names of principals and business standing within the state.
- Identification of all changed records and new-to-file records.
