Why did I get a warning during the file upload process?
Optimizer will do an analysis of your input file and return a warning to alert you to potential problems before you proceed with your order. Warnings are generated when any of the following occur:
- You do not have the minimum required fields of Company Name and State – If these required fields are missing, you will not be permitted to submit your order for processing.
- You do not have the minimum required fields of Company Name, State and Country – This is applicable to Optimizer Professional Users only. If these required fields are missing, you will not be permitted to submit your order for processing. We said above if country is blank its processed as a US record?
- You are missing more than 30% of your data in any one column – In this situation, you will be prompted to review your input file prior to submitting your order. For best results we recommend you take the time to review and update your input file. Otherwise, your output file will have lower confidence codes due to the lack of data available to complete the matching process.
If you get any of these warnings, you should cancel your order and review and modify your input file. Click the Cancel button to go back to the Verify Field Matches screen, and click the Cancel Order button. You will return to the Optimizer home page. When you have corrected the issues in your input file, begin the Create Order process again.
Note: When preparing your file in Excel, be sure to remove unwanted columns or rows by using the delete column or delete row function. If blank rows or columns remain in the file, you will get an error message when you try to load your file.
