How does D&B determine that a business is a look alike?

Prospector first analyzes your enhanced customer file and separates it into segments, or groups of like businesses. It then profiles the attributes of each segment and identifies those attributes that are most closely correlated with your customers. It builds a statistical algorithm, or model, that weights each attribute accordingly. When your prospect universe is run through this model each business receives a score that is indicative of how strongly it looks and acts like your customers.
